The Kaittharri Collective: More than just Fashion

In this time and age, the saree is not just fashion. It is a statement. It is a choice. What if every saree you ever wore has a unique story and not some random mechanical product from a factory.

The Kaittharricollective offers you that opportunity as they specifically deal with handlooms, personally curated by Vani and Sajini, the duo behind this label.

This Saturday, @thekaittharricollective will be featuring its latest collection for Deepavali, at Dania's. Their Deepavali collection will include cool, comfortable khadi linens, that are suited for the weather in Singapore and are easy to tie.

What is Khadi?
In India, Khadi is not just a cloth, it is a whole movement started by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. The Khadi movement promoted an ideology, an idea that Indians could be self-reliant on cotton and be free from the high priced goods and clothes.

About Kaittharri Collective
The Kaittharri Collectives strives for excellence in all of their products. Each of the sarees are curated with much love, and we ensure that we have personally experienced the fabric before putting them up for sale. Due to the nature of the processes involved in making the sarees, small discrepancies do occur.

All of the processes; from the spinning of the threads to the weaving of the sarees, from the handblock printing to the hand-dying of the sarees, from the weaves to the textures of the sarees, are done by hand and as such variations can occur. These slight “faults” only serve to ensure your sarees are special, and, in no way are meant to be glaring errors.
